Abstract

The publication of Oksana Tereshkun's book «Humanities and scientific paradigms of technology» (Ivano-Frankivsk, 2016) is a notable event in the philosophical life of modern Ukraine and in the national philosophical tradition in general. In a review on the work its structure, basic semantic blocks and conclusions, the circle of main questions and tasks that a researcher put before herself are analyzed.
One of the initial principles that is used by the author of work is defending of position, that the philosophical comprehension of technique requires not so much the ontology of technique as anthropology, axiology and methodology of technique.
In a monograph the new look to the technique and technical activity is presented. According to it the technique and technical activity is examined through a moral and ethical prism, namely through the prism of collective responsibility for the consequences of a humanity technical activity.
The important aspect of the work is a comprehension of technique, its place in the different historical pictures of the world and especially in the modern scientific picture of the world, and a conclusion about impermissibility of leveling of human factor in the development of technique and interpretation of its development only as an objective phenomenon. It is marked in a review, that a book contains considerable heuristic potential for further development of the declared range of problems.
