THE SYMBOLIC DIMENSION OF LANGUAGE CONSCIOUSNESS: REALITY, SECULARITY, IDENTITY

Abstract

Introduction. The article is devoted to consideration of the symbolic nature of the linguistic dimension of human consciousness and interpretation within it the concepts of reality, identity and secularity. It is accented a creative character of symbol within the linguistic consciousness, the role of metaphor in the formation of meaning and justification picture of the world of man. We consider the relationship between the interpretation of the concept of reality in language and human experience and mutual  secularity and identity concepts within concepts of reality. Purpose. The article aims to outline the interactions of symbolic representations of reality and identity within the trend towards secularization worldview of modern man. The methods used in the study: analytical, formal logic, as well as a heuristic method, of conceptual metaphor. The results of the study, which can be considered as the main is primarily a study of the symbolic nature of creating a sense of the mechanisms of human consciousness, their relationship with the linguistic space of human consciousness. Also, the correlation between the visual experience is considered, which is fixed in the mind, and its treatment in the language as a universal semiotic code that underlies the picture of man in the world. It was determined that the symbol is the link between the spheres of consciousness at the preverbal level and language. The originality and novelty of the research is to compare the process of formation of representations of reality, as well as their own human identity in the context of the secularization of the language picture of the world. An important point is that accented existential nature of cognitive and mental functions of consciousness within the language, for individual human consciousness. Conclusions of research due to its multidisciplinary nature and mainly consist in the substantiation of the thesis of the symbolic preverbal and symbolic verbal installations cognitions of the human mind, which are the basis of a verbal picture of the world, perception of the world, concepts of reality, identity and understanding of the process of secularization of consciousness, communication, picture of the world and discourse.
